Sanderson House is a City of York Council Community Centre that is run independently by Chapelfields Community Association – a management committee made up of local residents and user group representatives.
The Community Centre has two floors which can be rented seperately or together.
The ground floor has a large cafe style area with a bright appearance and a contemporary feel. Bistro style tables and chairs complete the look, and full kitchen facilities make catering or just providing a hot drink straightforward.
Whiteboards make using the room for training, presentations and projecting easier.
Still on the ground floor is a chill-out room with a sofa and large screen TV, and also a room that can double as a children’s play area but contains a secure computer area for internet access.
Upstairs are two excellent ‘training’ or meeting rooms that can be opened into one. Whiteboards are mounted on the walls and drink making facilities are provided. A third upstairs room is ideal for very small groups or as a crèche area.
Stairs at both ends of the building are complemented with a full size lift for wheelchairs to maintain accessibility.
Seating is provided for 30 people downstairs and a further 30 upstairs
